QSonica Q800R2

Applications

The Q800R2 Sonicator system was designed specifically for DNA and Chromatin shearing with low costs. DNA can be sheared to specific size ranges making it an ideal system for preparing samples for Next Generation Sequencing. The device is compatible with commercially available sample tubes and is capable of processing up to 24 samples at one time.

Details

Different tube racks options are offered to accommodate 50ul - 1ml sample volumes using a variety of commercially available sample tubes.

• Blue rack - 24 positions for Brandtech 0.3mL tubes (Part #781305)
  
• Black rack - 12 positions for Corning/Axygen 0.5mL tubes (Part #PCR-05-L-C)
  
• Green rack - 8 positions for Eppendorf style 1.5ml tubes
  

Also smaller volumes than 50ul can be processed. No heat-damage should happen to the sample, as the sonication is done under continuous temperature control and the process runs isothermally. No cross-contamination and foaming as sonication is done in closed vessels.
