Main content

Originally, the GDC laboratory was set up with a special focus on high-throughput technologies to cope with the increasing number of samples and markers needed in research studies. Since 2012, we also offer equipment, protocols, and data analysis support for next generation sequencing technologies.

The GDC laboratory is a do-it-yourself laboratory for DNA/RNA extraction and quantification, PCR amplification, sequencing, genotyping, and gene expression for model and non-model organisms. We provide instruction and support for our users, with established protocols, regularly serviced equipment, and a well-managed laboratory. Consumables, common chemicals and plasticware can be obtained through the GDC shop. Once users know the instruments and laboratory rules, they are allowed to work independently. To facilitate planning, most instruments can be booked online via the instrument reservation system.

If you have any questions about the GDC laboratory please don't hesitate to contact Aria Minder.
