Bead Ruptor

Applications

The Bead Ruptor is a bead mill homogenizer with an integrated cooling system, used to grind tissue (soft samples, hard samples, microorganisms) for DNA and RNA isolation.

Details

• Simultaneously homogenize 24 x 2 ml tubes or 12 x 7 ml tubes. Cryotubes need to be used as Eppendorf tubes are not stable enough.
• Constant cooling (down to -4C°) during grinding is possible. Sample temperature monitoring system included.
• Broad performance range for any type of sample processing: 0.8m/s - 8m/s
• Run time: 1 second to 10 minutes
• Number of cycles: 1-10
• Beads made out of different materials (metal, zirconium) and different sizes are available at GDC.
